Pomerleau Regional Offices

Lévis, Québec

Located in Lévis, just steps away from highway 20, the new Pomerleau office building showcases the construction capabilities of this exemplary builder by elegantly combining multiple raw building materials. Wood occupies a predominant place in the building. The ground floor is wrapped in an exterior pine cladding. The exposed ceiling in the office portion of the first level is made of Nordic cross-laminated panels resting on glued-laminated wood beams that are supported by a steel structure. This superposition of primary and secondary beams provides convenient paths for the building’s utilities. The white-painted steel structure highlights the rich coloration and texture of the wood structure. The workstations’ ceiling thus echoes the surrounding forest.
