Minganie Aquatic Complex Pool

Havre-Saint-Pierre, Québec

The Minganie Aquatic Complex features an indoor pool, several water games, a slide, jumps, and two saunas. According to Minganie’s RCM, the enthusiasm generated by its opening has exceeded expectations. A central architectural feature of the complex is a 827 m2 roof supported by columns, all fabricated from Nordic Lam glued-laminated timber. The high relative humidity of an aquatic facility is an ideal environment for a wood structure which helps regulate humidity.
