The Rimouski Lab-École, now named École du Boisé-des-Prés, emphasizes an active lifestyle, healthy eating, and a strong connection with nature for the children attending the school. Designed to accommodate more than 500 elementary and preschool students, the school features a hybrid structural system combining steel, light-frame construction, and mass timber. The sloped mass timber roof spans all interior spaces, bringing warmth and a sense of comfort to the areas used by staff and children alike.
