Your Challenge – The technical support engineer reviews and approves design sheets and assembly layouts for our engineered wood product (EWP) distributors in several provinces. They provide repair details and assist in developing technical documentation and engineering tools for the North American market. The ideal candidate is someone detail-oriented, autonomous, proactive, and versatile, capable of providing excellent customer service.

Role and Responsibilities – As a technical support engineer, you will assist our distributors by providing technical documents for permit approval and, when necessary, participating in site visits for quality control of our engineered wood products.

Among others, the candidate will perform the following tasks:

• Develop and maintain technical documentation and engineering tools
• Prepare test plans and write technical letters and reports
• Seal design sheets and assembly layouts
• Provide repair details for damaged products
• Test and validate various software
• Offer quality customer service
• Perform other related tasks

Your Profile – You hold a degree in civil or structural engineering with at least one (1) year of relevant experience. You have technical knowledge of engineered wood products and excellent communication and customer service skills. You are proficient in both French and English.

The ideal candidate is a person who is rigorous, well-organized, detail-oriented, adaptable and proactive. This person must be flexible and willing to face challenges to support the team in place.

Desired qualifications :

• Eng. licensure (from any province) or the ability to obtain it within one (1) year.
• Experience navigating building codes and standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel as well as CAD and FEM software.
• Knowledge of Python or a similar programming language.
