Paddocks Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada

Montréal, Québec

The imposing 300 meters long cross-laminated timber roof structure of the new Parc Jean-Drapeau Formula 1 paddocks sits on diagonal-placed glulam beams that form a giant gridwork. The roof seems to be floating on the tilted steel columns conferring dynamic lines to the complex. The racing teams’ garages and some office spaces are located on the ground floor of the paddocks. On the second floor, spectators’ seats are combined to multifunction and media rooms as well as the racing podium. There are again seats on the third floor, the paddock club and a green roof terrace.
