Lévis River Terminal

Lévis, Québec

One of the key element in the requalification of the crossing, initiated by the city of Lévis, is the Lévis fluvial station. Wood is in the spotlight for this important access point that sees a total of 25,000 crossings which include the passage of 1.5 million people and 350,000 vehicles annually. The Nordic X-Lam cross-laminated timber roof is supported by Nordic Lam glulam beams which rest on steel columns. One particularity of the project is a guyed beam system, which makes it possible to extend the span of the beams while de-cluttering the space by reducing the beams height.
