Theatre

Saint-Jerome, Quebec

Diffusion en Scène, whose mission is to promote the performing arts conceived the Gilles-Vigneault Theatre, which opened to the public in November 2017. An intricate folded wood roof greets spectators as they enter the main lobby area. The 11.5 m tall roof is composed of 422 wooden elements; some glulam beams, up to 14.9 m in length, and purlins veiled beneath inclined cross-laminated timber panels.
