Canadian Nuclear Laboratories - Minwamon Building

Chalk River, Ontario

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) is Canada’s premier nuclear science and technology organization. This Logistics and Warehouse Building is one of three new builds and will transform the site entry point and arrival experience. Being the result of an impressive integrated design process, the client and the design team chose wood for this 3,825 m2 surface building. A post and beam Nordic Lam system supports cross-laminated timber slab panels. Nordic Lam braces are used to resist lateral forces. With these new builds, CNL will serve as a global hub for nuclear science.
